Last updated: October 25, 2026
In short
Swiper does not collect, send or share any personal data. There are no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking. Your photos and videos stay in the Photos app library: Swiper doesn't copy them or send them to any server.

Photo library access
With your permission, Swiper reads your library through the iOS Photos framework (PhotoKit) to show you photos and videos one at a time. Besides the previews, it only uses the item type (photo, screenshot, video, screen recording), the date, the video length and whether an item is a Favorite, to group items by month and filter them. Everything happens on your device; previews are kept in memory only while you look at them and are never saved.
If you give access to only some photos, Swiper only sees those. You can change the permission at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos.
Swiper only deletes the items you choose, and only after you confirm in the iOS dialog. Deleted items stay in the Recently Deleted album of the Photos app for 30 days, where you can recover them.
iCloud Photos
If you use iCloud Photos and an item isn't on your device, iOS downloads it from your iCloud account to show it to you. The transfer happens between your device and Apple, according to your settings and the iCloud terms: we don't receive or see anything. When you delete an item with iCloud Photos on, you delete it from your iCloud library and therefore from all devices signed in to your account.
Data stored by the app
To remember your progress, Swiper stores on your device a file with the identifiers of the items you've already reviewed and your choice (keep or delete), plus the app settings. The file contains no images and is not synced with iCloud. If you use iCloud Backup or computer backups, it may be included in your device backup, managed by Apple according to your settings.
Notifications
The reminder to empty Recently Deleted is optional. It is a local notification, scheduled and delivered by your device without going through any server. Swiper asks for permission only when you turn the reminder on; you can deny or revoke it and the app keeps working. The notification contains no photos and no information about your library.
Retention and deletion
The app's data stays on your device while you use it. In Settings › Reset Reviewed Items you can make the items you kept unreviewed again. Deleting the app deletes the file and the settings; your photos and videos stay in the Photos app.
Children
The app does not collect data from any user, including children.
Your rights
Since we don't collect personal data, we have no data to access, correct or delete on your behalf. For any question you can write to us at the address above.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with the new date.
