What data the app processes

The app only processes content you choose: pages scanned with the camera, images selected from Photos and files chosen from the Files app. All processing (filters, text recognition, PDF creation and compression) happens on your device. No content is sent to us or to third parties, and the app does not connect to any server.

iCloud

If iCloud Drive is turned on for iPDF on your device, the document library and saved PDFs are stored in your iCloud account, so you find them on all your devices signed in with the same Apple Account. Syncing is handled by Apple according to your settings and the iCloud terms; we have no access to this data. You can turn it off in Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Drive.

Permissions

Retention and deletion

Documents stay on your device (and in iCloud, if on) until you delete them in the app; deleting them on one device removes them from the others too. Deleting the app deletes the data on the device, while data in iCloud stays until you remove it in Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Storage. If you use iCloud Backup or computer backups, app data may be included in your device backup, managed by Apple according to your settings.

Sharing

A PDF leaves your device only when you share it, to the app or service you choose (for example Mail). From then on, that service's terms apply.

Children

The app does not collect data from any user, including children.

Your rights

Since we do not collect personal data, we hold no data to access, correct or delete on your behalf. For any question, write to the address above.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date.
